JUNE 20, 2024—Every June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a special day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada.

The City of Regina and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Network will host activities for National Indigenous Peoples Day on Friday, June 21st in Victoria Park from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Organizers have lined up a showcase of talent and cultural richness from Indigenous artists and have a variety of engaging activities for all ages. The 12 activity stations in the Kids Zone include First Nations cultural drum teachings, tipi demonstrations, Métis music & jigging, Métis pointillism, beaded keychains, Cree syllabics, Inuit games, face painting and more.
