AUGUST 9, 2022 -- The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day is on Friday, September 30, 2022. It is a day to acknowledge Canada's colonial history and the legacy of residential schools.
Regina Public schools will be closed on September 30th to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
Regina Public Schools staff and students will participate in The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day events during the week of September 26th. Those who wish to purchase an orange shirt may do so from Freshly Pressed Printing at the following link: https://freshlypressedprinting.com/products/rbe-orange-shirt-day. Orders will be accepted until Friday, September 9th or as long as supplies last.
