JUNE 18, 20212 -- Congratulations to the Communication Media 30 students at Scott Collegiate and the ELA A10 students at F.W. Johnson Collegiate! These students worked collaboratively with the Nakoda AV Club, an Indigenous-led group operating on the Morley reserve (between Calgary and the Rocky Mountains) in Alberta. These partnerships were orchestrated by Tomas Jonsson with the Regina Public Library’s Dunlop Art Gallery.
Regina Public Schools is proud to announce that these student videos will be included in the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s program for National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st beginning at 5:00 p.m. (SK time). Videos by students at Scott and F.W. Johnson Collegiates are third and fourth on the program and can be viewed by CLICKING HERE.
The program will be online for a week to view at your own convenience.
The Regina Public Library will also be hosting screenings of the videos, as well as some extras made by the Nakoda AV Club.
