September 10, 2024--Get ready for two new elementary schools and a new high school!
On August 6, 2024, Minister of Education Jeremy Cockrill and SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister Terry Jenson gathered with Mayor Sandra Masters and representatives of Regina Public and Regina Catholic schools to announce the location and preliminary work begun on a new Harbour Landing West joint-use school. The 4.45-hectare school site is at the corner of Gordon Road and Campbell Street in southwest Regina.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2024—On October 3, 2024, Regina Public Schools is hosting a post-secondary grad fair at the mâmawêyatitân centre at 3355-6th Avenue in Regina from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. We encourage all Regina Public high school students to attend with their families. This post-secondary grad fair will showcase over 60 post-secondary institutions, employers and community organizations available in Saskatchewan and across many provinces. As you navigate the fair, you will encounter a diverse array of programs and institutions, each eager to share their offerings and answer your questions.
SEPTEMBER 6, 2024—The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed September 8th as Literacy Day in Saskatchewan. The day provides an opportunity for communities, libraries, schools and other organizations to plan activities that raise awareness about the importance of literacy. We know that literacy and learning are key to a strong Saskatchewan, including opening doors to employment, better social and health outcomes and active participation in society. The proclamation for this day was requested by the Saskatchewan Literacy Network.
