September 27, 2021--Director of Education Greg Enion posted the following letter for all students, school families and staff. Read the letter here, or below.
Dear students, school families and staff:
SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 -- A tipi is a portable conical structure made of skins, cloth or canvas on a frame of poles used by Indigenous Peoples of North America. The purpose of the tipi is to provide shelter, warmth and connectedness between family and community. It not only provided physical support for Indigenous Peoples, it also has many teachings about humanity’s relationship with the natural and spiritual worlds. The tipi today is still used for modern-day ceremonial gatherings and teachings. It is an iconic symbol for representing Indigenous Peoples’ identity.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2021 -- There must be truth before reconciliation. With this in mind, Dr. James Daschuk, author of Clearing the Plains, was invited to speak to all of the staff at Judge Bryant School during one of the opening PD days in August.
September 20, 2021--On September 17, 2021, the Government of Saskatchewan implemented a Public Health Order that includes specific directives for schools that support Regina Public Schools safety protocols, including the requirement of mask use in all our schools and facilities.
The following new Government of Saskatchewan requirements help clarify and explain how your school administration will respond and communicate with parents when there is a case of COVID-19 in the school.
SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 (UPDATED) -- The Saskatchewan Health Authority will be working with school divisions to offer COVID-19 vaccinations for students born in 2009 or who are older.
